Tower Hamlets Council in the UK has drawn up a new policy to decide what’s ‘graffiti’ and what’s ‘street art’ to help speed up the process of removing unsightly tags.

The aim of this policy is to balance the impact of graffiti vandalism while also maintaining approved street art in the public environment.

The authority is also hoping to reach out to youth through schools and relevant groups in areas where graffiti is a problem.
