Graffiti Removal from Perspex Signage

Knowledge is Important!
Graffiti Eaters Technicians have the highest level of training in the industry. We invest heavily in their professional development.
The reason for this is that the Technician needs to be able to identify the substrate they are working on so they do not damage the substrate during the removal process. A mistake can be very costly.
Lets look at an example:
The very expensive sign shown here has a plastic face on it, but what type of plastic is it made of.
It could be:
Acrylic
  • Also known as Plexiglass, acrylic is used as a substitute for glass in sign faces and window panes. While more expensive and less scratch-resistant than glass, acrylic is lighter and less prone to shattering.

Polycarbonate

  • Sold under trade names including Makrolon and Lexan, polycarbonate windows are up to 250 times stronger than glass and 30 times stronger than acrylic. Its greater strength justifies its higher cost.

PVC

  • Sign frames and window frames made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic resist weathering, insulate well against heat and sound and are termite-proof. Since PVC has its color built into the material, it doesn't require painting.
Put the wrong chemical on any of these plastics and you will send the plastic cloudy and permanently marked and require replacing as there generally is no repairing the damage.
Imagine the disappointment if you had a large polycarbonate window and the graffiti removalist thinks it is glass WOOOPS!

Most graffiti removal companies have two or three cleaning solutions with which they remove graffiti. The Graffiti Eaters carry over 30 different cleaning solutions and in many instances we mix a custom solution on site to get the correct concentration. With the knowledge, chemicals and equipment our Technicians get it right on the first visit to site, saving you money!
