Every one looks at the pavement when they walk and many people are horrified by the chewing gum and grottiness.

Particularly around food eating areas or where children play it can be very off putting to the public.

If you have chewing gum and food stains letting your image down at your shopping centre, school or food outlet, then its time for a Graffiti Eater detailed clean.

We can organise our team of Surface Restoration Technicians to come through at night when venues are closed to use superheated water under pressure delivered by large truck mounted machines to restore your pavement back to crisp and clean.

The results are spectacular and instantly noticed by all.

We can also assist with chewing gum off chairs and furnature.

DOB IN TAGGER KIDS

The team and The Graffiti Eaters strongly support these initiatives in the prevention of the growing epidemic of graffiti. Well done to the Victorian Police Force for taking positive preemptive action.

We believe that better education and prior intervention with our youth at school age will contribute significantly to reducing future graffiti vandals.

This pre-crime strategy will save many young people and their families the humiliation of arrest, court proceedings, criminal records and worst-case scenario prison terms.

We also feel very strongly that prior intervention may save someone from, injury and even prevent a graffiti death.

As a community, we need to band together, support our Police Force and make this initiative work.

Our lovely communities will be better off for it.

Although applying graffiti is a criminal offence, when vandals are caught they get off scott free.

The amount of tax payers time and money that was wasted here obtaining evidence and presenting to the courts and all for nothing.

These four vandals are grown men, not kids and they should have been given serious penalties to reflect the damage they have done and repaid the cost incurred by the community.

This result is extremely frustrating for our national team of Surface Restoration Technicians who work tirelessly to document photographic evidence and maintain databases on behalf of our clients who one day hope to reclaim costs incurred in removal.

Unfortunately these kinds of media reports work in the favour of the graffiti vandal.

As a society we must be clear on what the rules are that we all must live by. This type of debate just motivates and fuels graffiti vandals.

The definition of graffiti is: “writing or drawings scribbled, scratched, or

sprayed illicitly on a wall or other surface in a public place.”

It is not art, it is illegal activity! Businesses incur hundreds if not thousands of dollars in expense every Monday morning trying to maintain their corporate image and provide a secure environment for their customers to purchase. It doesn’t matter what it looks like, that should not even enter the debate.

Often due to its offensive nature, graffiti causes our public transport system to cancel services and public amenities to be closed down, which affects our efficiency as a community. It has a negative psychological impact on the community and leads to more serious crime.

Governments spend millions of dollars a year trying to educate the community on what’s right and wrong, in order to create a society that represents the thinking of the majority. Suggesting some graffiti is OK because it looks pretty causes a grey area in mindset which then clouds the boundaries and waters down the efforts of these education programs.

I have seen firsthand, suburbs out of control with graffiti and it’s dangerous. Think about waking up one morning and finding your car, house and suburb graffitied on every surface, your front fence, letterbox, footpath, power poles and the tree in the front lawn and even the lawn! Your concerned to take your young kids off to school because there are swear words on the garage door and a rude image on the driveway. Before you can drive your car to work you have to remove spray paint off your windscreen. Your wife is concerned to walk for exercise on dusk because all the street lighting has been covered by spray paint. The street signs indicating safety messages have been modified or covered over with paint which causes driver confusion and minor vehicle accidents.

My team at The Graffiti Eaters deal with the hurt, intimidation and frustration caused by graffiti vandalism nationally around Australia on a daily basis. It can happen to your suburb in the blink of an eye. If our councils, schools and corporate businesses didn’t dedicate the resources they do, Australia would not look as good as it does right now.
I urge the media to quit the ‘art’ debate, it is crippling years of progress in youth education. Graffiti is a criminal activity full stop. We need to send this clear message to our youth and channel any one who thinks they have talent with a spray can, to study art and enter competitions in order to be recognised and secure for themselves a future career that can utilise those skills!

The look of your shop front can make the difference between a new customer entering your store, and walking straight past!

Shop fronts and in particular door frames and window frames get scratched and marked over time. After you have invested heavily and restored the rest of your shop front you are still left with untidy frames that bring the entire image down a level. The cost of replacing them is out of the question and the disturbance to the business makes this difficult and not a viable option.

The answer, however is to have your shop front frames electrostatic repainted. Electrostatic painting is the finish that your frames had applied when they were new. The finish can be full gloss or low sheen and in any corporate colour you choose.

The Graffiti Eaters have mobile electrostatic painting equipment so we can reinstate your colour bond and powder coated surfaces that are damaged by fire, graffiti, flood or any other cause of damage. Or you may just wish to simply change your corporate colour.

You may also want to rejuvenate a stair case and hand rails, a filing cabinet, a display stand, a post that supports a shade sale, steel gates, roller or lift doors etc the list goes on!

Roller doors are often a target for graffiti and in most instances, if the door is in good condition we are able to remove the graffiti and save the door. Roller doors can be made from colourbond, galvanised steel, zincalume or aluminium when on vehicles. All can be successfully cleaned.

In this instance our corporate client wanted to change his corporate colours so he requested that we refinish the surface of his roller door with a quality metal surface coating incorporating anti graffiti properties to make future graffiti attacks easier, quicker and cheaper to clean.

The roller door was degreased, thoroughly cleaned and prepared for it’s new surface coating which was sprayed to achieve the best surface finish possible.

When doors are old and scratched and the paint has oxidised or is peeling off we can give it a new lease of life with the Graffiti Eaters surface coating treatment.

The Graffiti Eaters teams nationally have several different types of spray painting systems to suit all painting requirements from HVLP, Airless, Compressed Air and electrostatic painting which is ideal for rejuvinating old powder coated surfaces.

Having been in the industry for over 35 years we have been called upon to solve some interesting challenges. Our team love the challenge of setting a site up safely and getting the graffiti OFF quickly.

The Country Fire Authority (CFA) in Victoria had a radio tower hit with graffiti from top to bottom – 16 meters high. The graffiti was black enamel spray paint with thick run marks placed on a concrete pole with galvanised brackets and fittings. The tower was located above a colourbond fire station so care had to be exercised not to damage the colourbond surface during the cleaning process. A large all terrain tower lift had to be used to navigate the site inclines and avoid power lines.

Safe Site Setup

Our team set up the site from start to finish, conducting height risk assessments, organising permits, selection and hire of access equipment, licensed operators on site, radiation risk monitoring, and protecting surrounding structures during the cleaning process.

The result was a perfectly clean concrete tower with no shadows or chemical marks, no surrounding structure damage and no onsite accidents.

Another quality restoration project by The Graffiti Eaters!

When You are facing an Environmental Disaster, You need the Professionals

with the right Experience and Equipment to save your bacon!

When an unforeseen blocked pipe at a Woolworths store caused a grease pit to over flow, it spewed oil and grease out onto a bitumen and concrete car park area. Cars driving through the spill spread the oily residue for hundreds of meters in three directions. Woolworths Management were right on it and called in the Graffiti Eater team for an expert clean up job to Environmental Protection Authority standards.

The area was cordoned off with traffic management and kitty litter dispersed to soak up the liquid oil and grease. Graffiti Eaters Technicians then blocked off and secured nearby storm water drains to ensure that no residue from the cleaning operations could enter the drains. The spent kitty litter was then collected and processed for discharge. A special chemical formulation was applied to the bitumen and concrete to break down the oil and extract it to the surface of the porous surfaces.

Superheated water under pressure was then used to thoroughly rinse down the surfaces restoring them back cleaner than their original condition.

The waste residue created from the cleaning process which included the original grease and oil was then vacuum collected and pumped into holding tanks. The liquid was then removed from site and processed by an EPA approved waste liquid organisation. 2000 Lt of waste was reclaimed without a drop entering our storm water system and harming our environment thanks to the quick thinking Woolworths Managers.

It took three Graffiti Eater Surface Restoration Technicians eight hours, but the result was incredible. When complete, no one parking their cars were aware of the disaster that had unfolded earlier in the day.
